SCANDINAVIAN BOOK FAIR 2011

November 24th-26th Bibliotekssalen, Rundetårn

In November 2011, 44 professional antiquarian booksellers from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Holland, England, Switzerland, France, and Hungary will gather in Copenhagen for one of the biggest antiquarian book fairs ever held in Scandinavia.

The Danish Antiquarian Booksellers Association, ABF, is excited to be hosting the annual fair, which alternates between Oslo, Stockholm, and Copenhagen.

Apart from the many books, within all subjects and price-ranges, that will be showcased and offered for sale by the antiquarian booksellers, a number of chosen book binders, paper restorers, and paper artists will be present daily in the workshops in order to present different aspects of book-craft.

There will furthermore be a number of exhibitions by private book collectors, displaying parts of their collections. These exhibitions include “Kierkegaard as a Book Collector”,  “Peter’s Christmas”, “Copenhagen”, an ex-libris collection, and a Christian IV collection.

On Friday and Saturday, a professional book panel will be evaluating books for the public. A time schedule will be found in the programme.

We welcome you to a weekend of celebrating the book!
